The One with Sickness.

Mina-san!

Lookout! I have a bug or something! I’m getting sick and would appreciate prayer a lot. We’ve all been getting sick with iro iro (various) sicknesses ranging from nausea and vomiting to energy sucking colds. I, thankfully, have the latter. I’ve been hanging out with too many people at too many churches and having too good of a time. (If you can’t read my tone— I’ve been having way too much fun doing ministry here and might have picked this up from some friends who are doing the same.)

This week is Freedom Week. It’s basically a week where we focus on the lies we’ve been believing and give them up to God in order to live as we were intended. It’s super cool, I’ll keep you updated.

Angela and I went to Tokyo Dome City on Friday night to hang out, talk about how much we missed the SoCal beaches (she’s one of my many CA friends here. Cali just loves Japan apparently.) and other things. We sat out in the lovely night air and watched a water/light/music show that was being put on at the fountain. It completely mesmerized us and made us miss Disneyland. It was wonderful.

One thing we’re talked about was finances for Outreach. Neither of us really have any at the moment and they’re due at the beginning of June. What we were saying was this: we’re nervous because we don’t have it because of the obvious consequences, not going to the Philippines and missing out on outreach in Japan as well is one of the biggest ones. HOWEVER, we know that God brought us to Japan. He provided those finances in full and on time. He is good and He is big. He will not abandon us now. But, we’re still nervous. We’re praying about it, but, honestly, really truly honestly, there’s a whisper in my heart that’s asking if He’s really good enough to provide or did He bring me back to tease me. And then I realize, again even as I’m telling you, that HE IS.

Seriously. If God asked me to come here, He’s got a way to provide. Like the analogy Dave gave in his story of how he came to YWAM— we’re doing God’s business. If my dad was the head of a company and sent me here to work for his company, wouldn’t he foot the bill? Would I even have to worry about anything? No. Well, that’s exactly what I’m doing here.

So, if you could pray for Angela and myself (and probably several others on our team) we would greatly appreciate it. We need finances. About $2,500 each. We know God is good and big, but your prayers do shift things and do have weight and power. Please pray for a releasing of funds and that Ang and I would know the fullness of God’s power and goodness.

Thank you, friends!
I’ll post more pictures, soon.

All my love, (ALL OF IT, FRIENDS!!)

Maegan

p.s. AH! I’m so happy to be here and to be working toward the revival that’s happening!
